Welcome to Ancient Warden. The game, this website and everything that comes with them are operated by WZC Development LLC. These terms are the agreement between you and us. By creating an account, playing as a guest or simply using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the game or the site.

1. Who can play

You must be at least 13 years old to play Ancient Warden or create an account. If you are under 13, you may not use the game or the site, even with permission from a parent or guardian.

You must be at least 18 years old to make any purchase. If we ever offer anything for sale, whether that is an upgrade, extra character slots or anything else, buying it is for adults only. If you are between 13 and 17 you are welcome to play, but you may not buy anything.

2. Your account

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password private. Anything done through your account is treated as done by you, so pick a good password and do not share it. If you believe someone else has gotten into your account, change your password right away and contact us.

Guest play is offered as a convenience. Guest progress is tied to the browser you played in, and if that browser clears its data your guest characters can be lost for good. Creating a free account is the only sure way to keep your progress safe, and we are not able to recover lost guest saves.

Display names must not impersonate other people, our team or staff, and must not be offensive, hateful or misleading. We may change or remove names that break this rule.

3. Playing fair

Ancient Warden is meant to be fun for everyone. While using the game or the site, you agree not to:

• Cheat, exploit bugs for gain, or use bots, scripts or other automation to play for you.
• Harass, threaten or abuse other players, or post content that is hateful, obscene or illegal.
• Attempt to break into, overload or interfere with the game servers or other players' accounts.
• Sell, trade or share accounts, characters or in-game items for real money outside the game.
• Use the game or the site for anything unlawful.

If you find a bug, we would genuinely love to hear about it. Reporting a bug is always welcome; abusing one is not.

4. Purchases

All purchases require you to be 18 or older. Purchases are for digital goods delivered inside the game and, unless the law where you live says otherwise, they are final and non-refundable. Digital goods have no real-world money value, cannot be exchanged for cash and remain part of the game rather than your property.

Realm subscriptions are a monthly service billed through Stripe on Stripe's own pages; we never see or store your card details. You can cancel any time from the billing portal on your account page, and your realm then runs to the end of the period you already paid for. If a payment fails, your realm stays online for a grace period (currently 3 days) while we warn you in the game and by email; after that it is suspended, not deleted: everything is kept for a retention window (currently 30 days) and the realm comes back automatically as soon as a payment succeeds. If the retention window passes without payment, the realm is archived and the subscription ends. When a refund is issued it is the full month, and the realm stops the same day. The current grace and retention numbers always appear on your account page if they change.

5. Our content

The game, its world, artwork, names, stories, music and code belong to WZC Development LLC. We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to play the game for your own enjoyment. You may share screenshots and videos of your adventures, and we encourage it, but you may not copy, sell or redistribute the game itself.

6. Ending the agreement

You can stop playing and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and in serious cases we may do so without warning. We may also need to change, pause or shut down parts of the game as it grows and evolves. Ancient Warden is a living game in active development, and things will change over time.

7. The honest disclaimer

Ancient Warden is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. We work hard to keep the game running and your progress safe, but we cannot promise the game will always be available, bug free or exactly the same tomorrow as it is today. To the fullest extent the law allows, WZC Development LLC is not liable for indirect damages, lost progress or lost enjoyment arising from your use of the game. Our total liability to you will never exceed the amount you have paid us in the past twelve months, which for most players is zero.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page, and for meaningful changes we will make a reasonable effort to let players know. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the new terms.
