Privacy Policy

Ancient Warden is made by WZC Development LLC. We built the game to be fun, not to harvest your information. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

1. The short version

• We collect the minimum we need to run the game: an email address, a display name, a password and your game progress.
• We do not sell your information. Ever.
• We do not show ads or use advertising trackers.
• You must be 13 or older to play, and 18 or older to buy anything.
• You can delete your account and its data whenever you like.

2. What we collect

Account details. When you create an account we ask for an email address, a display name and a password. Your password is stored in a protected, scrambled form that even we cannot read.

Game progress. Your characters, items, skills, quests, settings and friends list are saved online so you can pick up where you left off on any device.

Guest play. If you play as a guest we create a temporary account with no email attached. Guest progress saves online but can only be opened from the browser it was created in. Guest accounts that sit unused for a long time may be cleaned up.

Technical basics. Like nearly every online service, our servers briefly record technical details such as your internet address and the time of your visit. We use this to keep the servers healthy, to prevent abuse and cheating, and for nothing else.

Chat. In-game chat is relayed live to the players in your session. We do not keep a permanent record of chat messages.

3. What we do not collect

We do not ask for your real name, your address, your phone number or your date of birth. We do not collect payment details unless you make a purchase, and if you do, payment is handled by a dedicated payment provider, so your card details never touch our servers. We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to anyone.

4. How your information is used

• To sign you in and keep your progress safe in the cloud.
• To run features you use, such as friends lists and multiplayer sessions.
• To keep the game fair, stable and free of cheating and abuse.
• To contact you about your account if we ever need to, for example a password reset.

5. Who can see it

Other players can see your display name, your characters' names and, in multiplayer, what your character does and says in the session. They can never see your email address.

We use a small number of trusted service providers to host the game and store data securely. They work under agreements that only allow them to handle your data for us, not for themselves. Beyond that, we only share information if the law genuinely requires it.

6. Children

Ancient Warden is for players aged 13 and up. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and we do not allow them to create accounts. If you believe a child under 13 has made an account, contact us and we will delete it. Purchases of any kind are limited to adults aged 18 and over.

7. Keeping it safe

Your connection to the game is encrypted, passwords are stored scrambled, and access to player data inside our team is limited to what is needed to run and support the game. No online service can promise perfect security, but we treat your data the way we would want ours treated.

8. Your choices

• See and update. You can view and change your account details from the account page.
• Delete. You can delete individual characters yourself, and you can ask us to delete your whole account and everything attached to it.
• Ask. You can always contact us to ask what information we hold about you.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page, and for meaningful changes we will make a reasonable effort to let players know before they take effect.
